Alchimia di Mare is located inside Palazzo Calderai, a historical building with an original 19th century patio, one of the symbols of our city, the greatest expression of the Liberty style. The property is located just 50 meters from the main train station of La Spezia where you can take advantage of an ample parking. Thanks to the great position, you can easily reach the famous 5 Terre and the fabulous villages of Portovenere, Lerici, Tellaro, San Terenzo, the Palmaria island, the Tino island and the nearby Versilia.The property is located just a few steps from the city centre and pedestrian area where you can find shops, museums, bars and typical restaurants. It makes it easy to visit the Port of La Spezia and the city's historic promenade, with a panoramic view of the Gulf of Poets. From the quay, leave boats, ferries or private cruises giving you the opportunity to visit the beautiful seaside villages and the charming coves by sea. Our rooms
Our rooms located inside Palazzo Calderai, a late 19th-century Liberty building are characterized by a modern, elegant and comfortable design. The colors of the four rooms recall the Ligurian tradition and its villages, and for this reason, the rooms are called Golfo dei Poeti, Lerici, Portovenere and Cinque Terre. Every room is air-conditioned and has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. All rooms include a private bathroom with a large designer shower with ceiling lighting, hairdryer and free toiletries. All rooms have free wifi, Safety Deposit Box, desk with chair, minibar, professional Tea/Coffee Maker with pods (for coffee, tea, herbal teas, etc.) to offer a moment of relaxation. Each room has a modern design lightning and double-glazed windows with acoustic thermal insulation. The soundproof doors are equipped with an electric lock and automatic closure.

The Surroundings
Alchimia di mare is located in a strategic position, a few steps from the Main Station of La Spezia, the terminus of Trains and Buses. From the station, it is possible to reach the famous Cinque Terre and all the characteristic villages situated along the coast.

The Gulf of La Spezia is known throughout the world as the Gulf of Poets, owes its name to the many poets and writers who have passed through here over the centuries to take inspiration for their masterpieces, such as Dante, Petrarca, Byron, Shelley, Keats and Montale.
La Spezia
La Spezia is the heart of the Gulf of Poets; all around there are villages, colourful landscapes and bays with sandy and pebble beaches. Near the sea, you can find the Morin promenade from where you can enjoy a breathtakingly view of the Gulf. Must to see the visit at the Porto Mirabello, an important international port where dock luxury yacht.The city offers also the possibility of visiting many museums, firs of all, the Lia museum, the Camec museum, a modern and contemporary art center, the Sigillo museum and the Naval museum, the most important in Italy. La Spezia is on the border with Tuscany, so you can easily reach cities like Pisa, Lucca and Florence.
Portovenere
On the west coast of the Gulf you can find Portovenere situated in front of the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto that are part of the regional natural park.
At the end of Portovenere stands the beautiful Church of San Pietro and the suggestive Byron Cave (particularly dear to the poet).
In the small port, you can find boats that allow a boat service to reach by sea, the Cinque Terre and the Palmaria Island.
Lerici
Lerici is a beautiful village located in the Gulf of Poets, where you can visit the famous Castle of San Giorgio, which today houses a geopaleontological museum. Do not miss the Maramozza beach and the nearby villages: of San Terenzo, Fiascherino and Tellaro (where writers like Percy, Mary Shelley and Byron stayed).
Tellaro
It is considered as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, perched on a cliff the small fishing village is not to be missed. To reach it, you can choose to take the scenic route or several trails immersed in the greenery.
Sarzana
Ancient Roman city, social and cultural pivot of the Val di Magra. The town is located on the border of the Ligurian territory, precisely in the Lunigiana area. The fortress and the historic center are characteristic.
Versilia
The Versilia area includes the territories of the municipalities of Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Seravezza and Stazzema. Among all, the most important is Forte dei Marmi, a popular destination for tourists and perfect for nightlife.

You have to take the A-12 highway until the La Spezia - Santo Stefano exit and continuing on the A-15 ring road for a couple of km until you reach the city center.
